Supporting Key 103’s Cash for Kids at Christmas – We’re In!

Cash for Kids

The nights are drawing in, and our minds are turning toward the festive season – but sadly, Christmas time can leave a lot to be desired for some families in Manchester postcodes, including Salford. This is why we are helping Key 103 Cash for Kids – Mission Christmas. To learn more about how we are getting involved and how you can too, read on.

Here at Richard Padgett estate agents, local people are the heart of everything we do. We have served the property needs of multiple generations within the same families, and specialise in helping families find their perfect home. Our business runs in the family… Family, that of our own and those of other people’s, is important to us.

That is why we are getting involved with Key 103’s Cash for Kids – Mission Christmas this year. Almost all of our staff are parents and we know how hard it can be financially at Christmas time, and what a toll that can take on families, especially when there just isn’t enough to go around.

We understand… and want to help.

Which is why you will see a new addition to the window of our street level office in the heart of Monton Village – a Cash for Kids poster, asking for unopened toy donations that will be given to families in need all over Manchester during the festive season, so as many kids as possible have something to open on Christmas Day.

The team here at Padgett’s where shocked to learn that approximately 150,000 children in Manchester are living in poverty today.

The goal for Cash for Kids Mission Christmas this year is to raise a whopping 1,000,000 toys for those children – a goal we here at Padgett’s support whole-heartedly.

We are going to do our bit to make Christmas a happy one for those unfortunate kids, and make a donation ourselves… Will you help us?

If you do choose to donate a gift, it should be new, unopened and unwrapped, and suitable for babies, toddlers, children and teenagers aged 0-18 years.

We are accepting suitable toy donations in our street level office in the heart of Monton Village, and the charity will pick them up from us and distribute to families in need in the run up to Christmas.

Our office is open between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm on Saturdays. Feel free to drop in with donated gifts. If you’re not sure how to get to us, get in touch and we’ll direct you.

If buying a gift isn’t your thing, but you still want to help, there are plenty of other ways to get involved. If you would rather donate cash or buy a virtual gift online you can do so through the Key 103 website (link given below). There are also some events planned, you can get involved as a drop-off point or supporter, and learn about who is involved in ensuring those 150,000 kids in poverty get a Christmas present this year.

If you would like more information about this initiative, please visit: http://www.key103.co.uk/charity/missionchristmas/

In the meantime, we’ll go and start clearing some space for the donated gifts… Whilst getting ourselves super excited at the thought of them all coming in!

Hope to see you in our office soon,

The Team @ Padgett’s
